The Healthy Rowan Congregational Health Ministry Program seeks to inspire, empower, and collaborate with faith communities to be health champions for individuals, families, and communities.
The CHM Program builds on the connection between health and faith at multiple levels including individual, interpersonal (family), organizational (faith community), and the broader community. Participating faith communities are asked to attend quarterly meetings to benefit from education programs, supports, and networking. As part of the CHM Program, staff train volunteer lay health champions to deliver health related classes, programs/interventions and connect community members to county level resources through:
