The Daily Mile

The Daily Mile helps Rowan-Salisbury schools by providing brief classroom physical activity breaks which are are associated with improved cognitive performance, classroom behavior, and educational outcomes among students.

Nutrition Guidelines

Healthy eating can help individuals achieve and maintain a healthy body weight, consume important nutrients, and reduce the risk of developing health and chronic disease conditions.

Adventure Rowan

A free wellness program for your family! During the program we will offer sports, games, cooking classes, gardening and more! Our staff is trained, passionate and, most importantly, supportive and will work hard to make sure you and your child have fun!

Youth & Obesity

In Rowan County, 21.1% of 5 – 11 year olds are overweight; 16.85% are obese–that’s higher than the NC average. Childhood obesity has immediate and long-term impacts on physical, social, and emotional health.
