Mental Health

Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being, and it is an important part of our lives. It affects how we function, what choices we make and how we interact with others.

Community Resilience Model Project

Our project seeks to address the underlying root causes for all three areas of the 2019 Rowan County Community Needs Assessment - Mental Health, Substance Use, and Healthy Lifestyles. Our community has a duty to collaborate, advocate, and educate to improve the health of all Rowan citizens.

Substance Use

YSUP Rowan is a community anti-drug coalition formed in late 2015 to address adolescent substance use and abuse in Rowan County. Thanks to the hard work of the 15 initial coalition members, YSUP Rowan was awarded a five-year Drug-Free Communities (DFC) federal grant in October 2017.

Faith Community

The Healthy Rowan Congregational Health Ministry Program seeks to inspire, empower, and collaborate with faith communities to be health champions for individuals, families, and communities.
